The key to being able to control the quality and features of your own technology is to own and control it. With that being said, we believe there is a massive need for a stand-alone solution that allows people to have their own Social Network style platform - of course, much simpler though, so it's easy to manage.
Almost all platforms these days "throttle" or limit your ability to reach your entire fan/follower base, thus affecting true monetization of one's entire base. Sure, email is a tried and true source, but we believe mobile apps provide an incredible companion alternative that offers additional things (via mobile) to one's primary email strategy.
